Hi again
Could anyone tell me what a Brace Maker would make, my ancestor made them in 1830's - 40's Hackney and Bethnal Green areas.
Couldn't be the obvious and belts were invented later!!! could it/

Lazlo Woodbine,orthopedic come's to mind,as also drill brace for carpenter's etc??

Braces as in to hold your trousers up. A rather poorly paid occupation.
