My wife´s great, great… grandfather Hugh Macleod(b1816) married(1844) Annabella Fraser(b1819)
their Parents;
Roderick Macleod (b1776)/Annabella Mackenzie(b1785)
Donald Fraser (d1836)/ Margaret Mackenzie (d1827)

Need information for the ancestors of Hugh and Annabella parents, specially Macleod, and both Mackenzie

I did a tree some years ago for a friend who is a descendant of this couple. If no one has given you any information by tomorrow, I'll dig it out of my old files.

I'm trying to work out which of the lines that your family come from. I've just found a couple of large charts that I did in 2005!

I'll need a bit of time to gather any of the remaining info together as its a long time  ago and the files aren't on my current computer. . 

From memory only, did Annabella Fraser come from Gairloch way or maybe Polbain?

I do have Annabelle ancestors up to her great grandfather Alexander Fraser/Anna Cameron that were married in Kilmorack church, Sep 8, 1718. Missing in the data I have are: her grand mother and all her mother´s Mackenzie ancestors.
On the Macleod side, I only got to Roderick Macleod b1776 and his wife Margaret Mackenzie b1785
I have no information of their ancestors.

**Hugh Macleod and Annabella Fraser, had a son Donald, who came to Chile and my wife is one of her descendants here; Donald Macleod is my wife´s greatgrandfather.

How sure are you that  Alexander Fraser and Anna Cameron who were married in Kilmorack in 1718 are Annabella's ancestors? 

The reason I ask is that Kilmorack is over on the east side near Beauly. They could well have moved across to the west coast, given the various movements during the 18th century but we need to be sure it is them.  As far as I can recall, the Achiltibuie Frasers were from Gairloch parish originally.

I'm thinking that the Mackenzies might have been part of the Achnahaird Mackenzies but not totally sure at the moment as the parish registers for Coigach are not available before the 1790s.

I got that information from Alasdair Fraser, who is a descendant of Alexander Fraser and Anna Cameron.
