Sighthill Cemetery - James Henderson buried January 1901

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help. me. I am visiting from Australia next year and want to visit the grave of my great grandfather James Henderson. He died on 21st January 1901 and his lair was purchased by his wife on 28th January 1901. I have included the copy of the receipt. If someone could let me know how I could find his grave I would be most grateful.

Hi Andrea ....If you have a copy of the receipt does it not give a lair number ? I don't see his name on the Monumental Inscriptions Index www.memento-mori.co.uk  so would assume there is no headstone
If you have the lair number you could try contacting Glasgow City Archives The Mitchell North Street
Glasgow ..archives[-- at --]glasgowlife.org.uk ...They might be able to help you with a map of the section your lair is on or details of the lair if not known
