Many thanks Ruskie. The Public House shown on that map is the 'White Hart' which is still functioning as a pub. If the numbering of the street is still running the same direction I assume the George being at No.1 is then at the western end of George St on the corner of Blackfriars road. Looks like there are three in George St and the White Hart on Great Suffolk Street (and George St). I’m thinking The George is the PH to the left hand end (west end) of George St
