Does anyone have any information on this solider? I purchased a Passchendaele 100 Poppy and it was dedicated to him.

Thank you for the information I was wondering does anyone know when or where he was born. I looked at census but couldn't get very far

Unfortunately his service record didn't survive so other than his father was also William there is no other information.
He was at Pommern Redoubt Ypres when he died according to the 7/CH diary.

Born and lived in Liverpool.Father William too.(Soldiers effects entry)
My ancestry suggestions give mum as Ellen lived West Derby but these are only suggestions from the soldiers died in great war records.

Thank you everyone for your help. This lad has haunted me and I know he is one of tens of thousands who gave their lives but I feel close to him  :'(
