Thanks again, Rosie99. I have now printed off the marriage cert in Durban. How did you manage to find the record in Family Search? I just tried various inputs, but no luck...
I don't suppose you have located his death - that would be the icing on the cake?

To write off the Dharwar entry....

It reads Edward Hunter and Ellen A Hunter both 27 and from Lancashire.
Possibly Edward Hunter and Ellen Alice Isherwood who married in Preston Lancs in 1880.
His occupation was brickmaker.

There are 7 possible death locations for him on BMD. I have work to do, but today has been a Eureka day - thank you to all contributors.
