Hi Betsyblue. Thanks for your information, and sorry not got back to you sooner. I have looked into Samuel and I don't think he is related. I've got an extract from a book on the imagination of Irish to new lanark. It tell of my family coming over in 1912, and how my great uncle who was already working in Greenock with the Greenock rope works company (I think that Co name). Thanks again, any information is always useful. James

hi im looking for any information on my ggrand parents Thomas Jess and Mary Jane Jess (Millar). I have Irish census records 1901 and 1911. they both show that they live in Mahgeraconluce Dromore. Thomas had an older brother called Richard. Richard went to Greenock and worked with The Greenock Rope Company (i think thats the name of the company). My Thomas and his family went to New Lanark Mill in 1912, Mary Jane had died 2 years before. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

then clicking on Births check for children for each couple.

If you can look for yourself it makes it easier for you to research at your leisure or  as and when you make new discoveries plus be able to check on those that don't have Images yet.

Ones with page numbers don't, but you can check back now and then for updates once you know how to look.
