Looking for a Jane Ann Cording on the 1841 Census.  She would be approx 13 years of age.  The rest of her family were at Timberscombe in 1851, 1861 Census, etc  so this would be a good place to target.   She must have been unsure of her place of birth as it seems in later census to alternate between being at Huish Somerset, and Uffculme Devon, although in 1901 it is listed as Culmstock!  Her parents names were Edward and Mellony Cording.

I only show on a family tree given to me by my mother, that Edward and Mellony Cording had 10 children.  Names: John (1824-1909, married Jane Morrish to America 1867, 4 daughters and 5 sons), Mary (Webber, 1829-1909, In England), James (1834-1925, married Eliza Norman to America before 1859), Elizabeth (? it just says "died" 1886, married Henry Greenslode "died", married Edmund Turner, in England), Gregory (1837- ?, in England), William, (1831-1912, Married ?...Brooks, in England, 1 son, 3 daughters), Edwin (1841-1910,Married Sarah Ann in England), Bessie (no dates, in England), Albert (1843-?, married Ida Jane Seaten to America), Lucy (1845-1913 Married William Norman to America)   Maybe Jane Ann is one of the children in this family tree I have here.  Maybe John and Jane (Morrish) Cording's daughter?  Named after her mother?  I am just guessing.  And this is the first time I have done anything online to try to learn more of my family ancestry.  I was born and live in America.  My mother's grandmother, Emily (Cording) Hill came to America.  I believe she was the daughter of James and Eliza Cording... I am just beginning to search.

I cannot find the original post where I replied to you.  This is new to me.  I am aware that Edward Cording's father's name was John Cording (1770-1830) and Edward's brothers name was James (1795-1839, drowned trying to save his wife from drowning).  Edward Cording (1802-1886) I will attach the family tree I have here.

How do I add an attachment?

I see that there may be some relatives of mine in here.  I am trying to learn more about Edward Cording - a Methodist Preacher.  I have to learn how to use this site.  It seems I was once on here as mmarti.
