Newspaper article in the Sheffield independent dated 4 March 1843. Jonathan Trickett was charged with stealing a quantity of bread pans, frying pans, etc., the property of Messers Newton, Chambers & Co., of Thorncliffe Iron Works. Valentine Brothers confirmed that the evidence was the property of the company, the inference being that he was employed by Messers Newton, Chambers & Co.
