Elopement resulting in death

Hope anyone can shed light to this story that has been mentioned in the family of an elopement that went wrong.
All i know is a family member back in the 1800's was attempting to elope with a girl from a well to do family. The horse bolted, carriage overturned and they were killed.
Our family is either Harris or Sunnucks from the Golden Green, Hadlow area. It could even been Richardson as that name married into the family in that area. The girl could be from a brewing family.
We have had a few people give ideas but nothing definate.
If anyone has access to a newspaper report then that would clarify . Henry Sunnucks was living in Hadlow with Mary Ann nee Richardson. in the 1871 census but gone by 1881.
She had a brother Albert Richardson who died when he was 18. Was it him ?
Hope to hear from someone with the newspaper report. Thanks

Did he marry Mary Ann Giles in 1867 as the 1871 entry has a 16yr old Albert Richardson brother in household and a Giles stepson aged 9

Many thanks for that, Giggsy!
Karen: Am I right in thinking the Albert Richardson, the subject of this enquiry, is the same person as the Albert Richardson whose death is recorded as being in 1871, at Tonbridge, Kent, aged 18?

Thanks Giggsy
Lots of time can be wasted duplicating information when the same request is posted on more than one board

If you haven’t already got it, it might be worthwhile getting Albert Richardson’s death certificate to see the cause of death.
