Cradley is a well known chain making area.My faher's paternal family were from Kingswinford. Some of their certs. are from Stourbridge others were Dudley registered. That whole area is fluid where they registered births, marriages and deaths. My 3rd gt grandparents went from Kingswinford to St Thomas's in Dudley to baptise their children but the children married at Kingswinford. My father's maternal side started in Old Swinford but migrated through Kingswinford to West Bromwich then back to Kingswinford. The area was part of the Black Country and there was lots of heavy industry during Victorian times (industrial revolution).
