Hi there,
I haven't used Rootschat for a while but popped in to see if it was still active!
I have seen your posts on Ancestry, although we don't appear to be a DNA match.
My mum was a Young, and I have traced the family back to Robert Young and Jean Murdoch, late 18th early 19th C. but I haven't found a connection anywhere to the Yetholm gypsies.  I believe there are unique marker for people of Romany descent and wonder if you have found that in your own DNA research as I am not aware that I or any of my Young relatives have it. The Young's often had dark hair, but there are a lot of blue eyes in the family too. My mum was always curious about it and another distant cousin also mentioned the family story that we came from Yetholm Gypsies.  I would love to know!! Elaine McAlpine
