thank you for that, my  late father in law said they came over because of the Potato Famine. you have given me a lot of info,  I new about Wicklow, the O in front of the name is because you are cheif of the clan, that is what I have been told. do not now if it is right. and yes they did work for the Ordnance Survey, then when the family moved to london, they then worked on the railways.
