Help with old English?
«

Hi everyone,
Looking through Somerset, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages, and Burials, 1531-1812, I found an ancestor in 1730 but I can't work out these words next to his name? Can anyone help?
Thank you

Here is the whole sentence. His name was Emmanuel Ashford, son of Abra and Eliz Ashford.

Could it be
"bur Jan17"
meaning he was buried on January 17th?
