Many thanks for all that information. From the burial records I got at the library it would appear Agnes FORSYTH was buried at Lochmaben.
Thomas's two sons died very young as did their father and were all in the grocery business.
I wonder if this was why Isabella FORSYTH their mother and her daughter went to Lochmaben to live after living at Caerlaverock.

Both Isabella MEIN (Forsyth) and her mother Isabella FORSYTH were on 1841/51/61 census for Caerlaverock. James FORSYTH died August
1860 at Caerlaverock and 8 August
1860 John MEIN died. So, sometime between 1861 and 1867 both Isabellas moved to LOCHMABEN. Perhaps to be with their family.
