hi all:)
a Scottish puzzle if anyone would like to plz look..ive been looking for a while now
I have Georgina FORTUNE born 1844 SCT to parents George FORTUNE and Grace MERCER.
I cannot find either birth for Georgina nor parents marriage
George was inspector of Poor so i tried Eng as well for marriage but no luck there
Any help finding either Georginas birth reg or parents marriage reg gratefully received :)

After spending quite some time trying to track anything down on this, I found there has been  a previous long thread about this on Rootschat

This is the last page. Quite a lot of stuff found out, and areas for research advised.
Nothing new seems to have some to light since with respect to Census entries,marriages etc.
Just so other Rootschatters don't spend wasted time researching it all again.
