There seems to be two couples James O’Hanlon/Ann Hanratty baptising children.
Unfortunately probably not all the names are included in the indexes.

There are probably some missing and they cannot be the same people because of the overlap in dates.

The Bridge Street group have a father James, a Locksmith and there is a possible death in 1895 for this James.

I am assuming yours are the second group so would the marriage be about 1860?

Thank you, yes the second ones from Bridge St are the ones I am looking for, I have all their info and yes the father was a locksmith, this is the james o hanlon who married anne hanratty that I am searching information on, I know their eldest son got married in Scotland  and on that certificate it lists the father as a locksmith.

Jmaes was born in 1839 as per St Patricks parish records has two brothers and I have his mother and fathers wedding listed as 28/6/1835 again as per St Patricks records, but cannot find anything on hs brothers or his parents, and his wife Anne Hanratty seems to be elusive, the gentleman at St Pats in Dundlak said maybe try Drogheda as there were lots of Hanrattys there but I could not find anything I am guessing that Anne had a brother called there is an Edward Hanratty and he appears as a sponsor for some of the births of her children.

Who do you have as the oldest child of James and Anne? My list has Catherine in 1861, which would perhaps give a marriage around end 1860/beginning 1861.
Do you have her in any documents later?

Here is James in 1901.

He shows as 37 yrs and born Armagh. This would give a birth abt 1863/4.
Did he come between Pat and Edward?

I found Bridget, baptised 1872 - her Godmother was Mary Hanratty.

Charles McCoy is the son of Anne Hanlon.
Ages are out by a couple of years which is common practice.

I know you say you have all this but it might help others to search.

Lots of Parish records have gaps and you might be unlucky.

Yes James born 1863/4 and I know his history, Bridget was my great grandmother and her sister Ann married in the North to a Mc Coy.
I didn't know there was a Catherine I always thought that James was the eldest, the problem is I think that the same names run through all the family I have James born 1863/4 getting married in Glasgow and one of his witnesses is named as Patrick Hanratty, so maybe this is his cousin??

It is hard as O'Hanlon is such a common name but the son James lost 3 children inside a month in 1921 I thought that there miight have something about this in papers at the time, I read an obituary about his son Bernard hence how I know that James and Rose the boys parents were making three burials of their children insdie such a short period of time.
