Look what I found whilst trying to establish whether she was a nurse or a maid...Interesting  :o

The second link describes a lady in the same type of outfit as a servant:

Wow! what are the chances of that Carol - interesting to see that the photographer's studio was one used a lot by the Stevens side of the family. So all in all she was probably in service as a nurse's maid.

It wasn't unusual for people to swap and collect CdVs in Victorian times...many people shared multiple copies with friends and Family. Postcard collecting took over at the start of the 20thC.

I just wasn't convinced that she was a nurse Keith, so had a look at maid's outfits for the era.

This is a verse from my book on dating and collecting CdVs:

Yes, this is my album,
But learn 'ere you look,
That all are expected to
add to my book.

You are welcome to quiz it,
The penalty is
That you add your own portrait,
For others to quiz.

It makes you wonder how many more of your unnamed family photos are being bought & sold on places like eBay without you realising. It took me over 10 years to make contact with a cousin on my mother's side of the family who was willing to gift me the photos I have recently posted.
