Hi,
I have a Fowlie connection, William D Fowlie, born in Aberdeenshire (can't make out the area), c.1836, m. 6 Nov 1863 Elisabeth Lawson (ggg aunt of mine) in Peterculter. He was a joiner on the 1891 census. There's a family grave including her in Peterculter cemetery, Aberdeen: "...And their Daughter ELIZABETH, Widow of W.D. FOWLIE, who died 2nd Nov 1910, aged 74 years." Sorry, that's all i have on him.

Hello! I’m trying to add to my family tree, including a Fowlie line. My paternal grandmother was born Mary Wallace, to Alexander Wallace and Annie Henderson Fowlie. I’m not sure I have found the correct ancestors going back from there, but I think Annie’s father was Walter Fowlie, born 1860 in Fyvie.
If anyone can confirm I’m heading in the right direction I would be grateful, as I feel I’m going down a rabbit hole and get overwhelmed with trying to figure out who’s who!

When and where did Alexander Wallace and Annie marry? Cannot see a marriage on Scotlands People for them. Have you got this marriage registration?

Where did the name Walter for possibly Annie's father come from?

If the 1910 birth is the correct one for your Annie, there is a marriage in Forevan in 1909 with Fowlie/Gray:

Any chance Alexander Wallace should actually be Andrew Wallace? There is a marriage for an Andrew W and Annie Henderson Fowlie in 1912 in New Deer, Aberdeenshire (ref 225 / 14).
