Hi Cookie!

I don't know whether you have the marriage, from freebmd

Mar quarter 1875

Newport Mon

Vol 11a  Page 179

If you sent for the cert it would give you their father's names and occupations, which would make it easier to trace them on censuses.

Have you got them on any census?

kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

Hi Linda
Ii 1861 the Hopkins family Are at Ref RG9 4026 100 23
Enumerated as Hopkin . Ellen states her place of birth as
Neath which also came under the Cantref of Cronnedd.

Mary Davies is with her son in law Thomas Leonard , wife
Margaret and family at Kendon Farm. Ref RG9 4026 67 7.

Not sure if you have access to 1861. If not let me know and i can post  full details.
Will have a look at earlier census info and see what i can find.

Hi Rhys
Thank you for latest info. I would be interested in 1861 Census. This all makes great reading. Did not know the Hopkins Family was so big . The only info I had on them was 1881 and 1901.
Thank's once again
Linda
