Hi again,Thanks for replying. It seems Henry George Clark got my Great Grandmother pregnant in 1891. She was working in Oxford but her parents lived in Barford, in Oxfordshire. Henry was living as a lodger in Woodstock Oxfordshire which is about half way between the two. My Great Grandmother was Louisa Margetts, she went to Sutton in Surrey to give birth to my Grandfather. She registered his birth and named him Corrie Enrico Clark Margetts. She gave him to people called McRae and he became Corrie Enrico McRae. It is only through dna that we have decided it is him. His brother came to New Zealand and I have been in contact with DNA matches to his brother. From what I have found out Henry George Clark inherited his father's business in 1896, and married Olive Annie Berry in 1900. By 1901 he was bankrupt. He and Olive had 2 daughters but by 1911 she and the girls are living with her parents. I can't find Henry anywhere. In the New Zealand branch's tree, they just have "went to South Africa" against Henry's name. Does this tie in with your information at all. Probably no one knows about Louisa and it is the dna matches that have finally after 18 years of trying found Henry. It seems Louisa did give clues by using Enrico (Henry) and Clark as part of the name she choose. I live in NZ but came here on my OE in 1974. Bye for now Penny.
