1861/1851 Census for Yorks for PARKER
« on: Sunday 07 August 05 02:23 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I am trying to trace who Alfred Louis PARKER’s ancestors were.  I have the following Census information below:

1901 - Headingley
William PARKER, Hd, 53, Carriage ?, Wakefield – Yorks
Eliza Ann PARKER, Wf, 45, ,Colton – Yorks
Sarah A PARKER, Da, 23, Dressmaker, Wortley – Yorks
William PARKER, So, 16, Carpenter Joiner (Apprentice), Leeds – Yorks
* Louis A PARKER, So, 13, Errand Boy, Headingley – Yorks
Ethel K PARKER, Da, 10, , Headingley – Yorks
Albert PARKER, So, 7, , Headingley – Yorks
Doris WALKER, Nurse child, 2, , Headingley – Yorks

1891 – Headingley Cum Burley
William PARKER, Hd, 42, Coachman Domestic, ****ley – Yorks
Eliza Ann PARKER, Wf, 35, ,Colton – Yorks
Sarah A PARKER, Da, 13, , Leeds – Yorks
Harriet PARKER, Da, 11, , Leeds – Yorks
Mary PARKER, Da, 9, , Roundhay - Yorks
William PARKER, So, 6, , Roundhay – Yorks
* Alfred PARKER, So, 3, Errand Boy, Leeds – Yorks
Ethel K PARKER, Da, 1, , Leeds – Yorks

1881 – Leeds
William PARKER, Hd, 33, Coachman, Huddersfield – Yorks
Eliza Ann PARKER, Wf, 25, ,Colton – Yorks
Sarah A PARKER, Da, 3, , Leeds – Yorks
Harriet PARKER, Da, 1, , Leeds – Yorks
Sarah CROSTHWAITE, Wd, 60, , Leeds – Yorks

1871 – Templenewsan
Eliza Ann CROSTHWAITE, 15, Nurse Dom. Serv., Whitkirk – Yorks
(I have a lot of information on the Crosthwaite’s)

William and Eliza Ann were married in the Leeds district, September quarter of 1876.

William PARKER would have been about 23 in the 1871 Census.  Unfortunately, PARKER being a common name is proving difficult to track him down.

Can anyone please have a look in the Leeds/Wakefield/Huddersfield areas for a possible William PARKER, probably in the “domestic service” industry?

Regards

David

Have you got the marriage certificate for William Parker & Eliza. This will give you (hopefully) William's fathers name and will make it easier to do a lookup on the census in 1861 & 1871.

There is a William Parker on the 1871 in Leeds age 22 shown as a boarder and working as a groom servant born in Wakefield. This does not really help so you need the details of father and his occupation then post another request for a census lookup.
