Just clicked on the link and the offer comes up at £69.99 for 6 months ? am I doing something wrong ?

Rosie

Must be! :D
I've just done the same and it came up £60 uk Premium and £90 Worldwide, both 12 months.

Unfortunately I already have a subscription. In January they made me an offer I coudn't refuse;- 4 months at £5/month.  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

Which thinking about it works out the same as this offer.

Will try next week when my subscription ends fingers crossed

If it doesn't work next time - try using your husbands name or a different e-mail address on the same link.

Hi Sandra,
The problem Rosie is having is that when clicking the link ( https://www.ancestry.co.uk/cs/offers/subscribe?dna=crossAct&o_iid=70089&o_lid=70089&o_sch=Web+Property ) provided earlier in the thread she is not going to the same page that others are.

I can think of two possibilities:-

1: the link is LOCATION specific, i.e. only works if your ISP is in England. (Don't know if that is possible) I notice Rosie's location is Scotland.

2: There is a cookie on her computer which is over-riding her browser.
Rosie have you tried using a different computer to access the link? Do you have the same result?

Otherwise I am baffled.

Regards,
Malcolm

Just a thought - Rosie, were you actually logged in to ancestry when you looked the offer up.  If you log out and use the link does it take you to the  £89-99 offer. Might make no difference but worth a try.

The asterisk denotes

*Access to the records in the featured collections will start on 30 March and will be free until 2 April 2018 at 23:59 BST. After the free access period ends, you will only be able to view the records in the featured collections using a paid Ancestry.co.uk membership.

There was also a link that you could press to see what the featured collections were. The above information was taken from here

but I am sure many more sites will have the same

There is still a 12 month sub! Try this link

https://www.ancestry.co.uk/cs/offers/subscribe?dna=crossAct&o_iid=70089&o_lid=70089&o_sch=Web+Property

Groom, thank you so much for that link! I've been having withdrawal symptoms since Christmas as I couldn't afford the Ancestry sub - far too expensive for me now. Bless you, it's a godsend, I feel more 'me' again now I can escape to the past! ;D
