Margaret McGonigle

Hi looking for information on the birth in Scotland of Margaret McGonigle. She got married in Ireland 1941 but i have been informed that she was born in Scotland around 1913. Her fathers name was William from her marriage record. I have done a quick search in scottishpeople but no luck. Her parents i was told married in Derry/Lderry but not 100%. Her daughter thought she was born in Dunfermline

There's no Margaret McGonigle or variants born in Fife 1900-1920

Who did she marry in Ireland as I can only see two marriages in Ireland
One in 1938 and one in 1940
One to a Joseph McLaughlin and in 1940 to a John Gallagher

Do you have her mother's maiden name?

I did check there initially, capricorn, which was why I looked further afield, initially in Dunbartonshire. Her daughter probably mis-remembered.

Added - neither of the marriages that you mention have her with a father called William.

married June 3 1899  Londonderry.

Just been looking at the birth cert again on a bigger machine - a couple of slightly wrong dates -

Birth date was June 2 1913 and parents' marriage was January 3 1899.

Gadget many thanks for your help, i had some credits left with scotish people so was able to get copy of her birth cert. Her son who is a friend was shocked with her birth date as they thought it was late June 1913.
