Could anyone plz tell me where to look for newspaper death notices
Im looking for a death notice for 1968 in Chelmsford Essex
Is there a standard free newspaper archives for England

The Essex Record office has the Chelmsford Chronicle through 1968 on microfilm. Will have to pay for a search.

Findmypast also has many newspapers - subscription site

British newspapers online you can see a few for free before having to join

Those entries are from the Probate Calendar (select 1858-1996)

You can order the wills from that site, they cost £10. Will be able to download "within 10 working days".
