 I think this could be correct. Where did you obtain the information? . I have previously looked in neighbouring counties without any luck but thank you for your advise and I will have to have another look just in case I have missed it.

Hi Jo,
I am unaware if the book is still in print however you should be able to obtain a copy from your local library on an International Library loan basis. The information is as follows.....

You and I are both descendants of Ralph Walton who married Margaret Featherston. they had 8 children. One being Thomas (b) 1777 which I am from and a Featherston which you are a descendant of. Featherston was born in 1788. There was a early Featherston of the same parents who was born in 1774 however, he died not long after he was born.

I dont know all the names of Thomas and Janes children but it may help you narrowing down a possible Bapt for her in other Counties.

I had a quick look at Familysearch.Org

Jane Clementson (and variants)
1734 Northumberland Father Peter
1735 Northumberland Father Thomas
1737 Cumberland Father William

Interestingly in Stanhope are some burials/bapt/marriages for the surname Cleminson/Clementson from 1763.
(use soundex option)

I personally have a brickwall about the same time in one barnch of my Tree but have left at that as its too hard to confirm without any doubt.
Going back to the early 1700's is fine with me.
