Frazier - Canada to New York

Looking for the baptism of James Frazier (probably Catholic but not positive) and the marriage of his parents and the family's immigration to the US.  Father born in Canada.  There is some indication from death certificates of James' siblings that their father was born in the Toronto, Canada area.  I've been able to confirm nothing prior to James's marriage to Mary Bustard in Amsterdam, New York 29 Nov 1883.  James may have been naturalized in 1881 through his father according to the 1925 New York State Census.

Do you have any record of James' parents in the US?

Only an indication that James was naturalized through his parent in 1881 (as written on the 1925 census).  I'm assuming that the naturalization was his father, Thomas.  No clear indication on the naturalization research as of yet.

I assume that the parents had other children but after six years of research I still only have James.  I should have said that the indication of James being born in Toronto was from a few of his grown children's death certificates (not siblings).

There is a marriage on 8 Jun 1882 in Nashua, New Hampshire for a Wilhelmine Frazier, aged 22 and daughter of a Thomas Frazier, to a Sevre Ricard, aged 30 and a carpenter by trade. She shows as born in Canada c. 1860. The marriage was RC.

It is definitely worth looking into.  Where did you find it?  You mention that familysearch has slightly different details.

Just minor really. FS has Wilhelmine as aged 20 (b. 1862). The 'New Hampshire, Marriage and Divorce Records, 1659-1947' collection has an original image of the marriage record showing her age as 22 (b. 1860).

ADDED: Just seen that it is the marriage index (the source of the FS data) that has Wilhelmine's age wrong.

Hi!  While I want to believe this marriage is a connection, I cannot seem to find either of them in the Nashua directory for 1881 or 1882, together or separate, yet the marriage document says that they live in Nashua.  I can't find them on ANY other record.  This is quite a mess.

Can't see much either to help further :-\

There is a birth of a daughter Antoinette Ricard showing for them in Nashua on 7 Aug 1882. Father showing as Severe and mother as Mary Flaser (or Frazer, depends on the index you look at for New Hampshire). No original image, just an index entry.

Baby Antoinette looks to have died just 22 days later in Nashua.
