Found him in Ireland.

Thomas Kerr was a boatman in the Coast Guard service from 1841.  He was posted to Portlooe in Cornwall from the Revenue Cutter Shamrock in October 1841.  He went from there to Dunbeg, Ireland, then to Ballywater, then Greenore, then Carlingford in 1844.

Need to do some more digging for the 1830s.

I cant get the records for Margaret and Kenneth without upgrading or purchasing new subscriptions, will need to think on what is best to get.

The only info I had on him being in the coastguard was in his death record and his wife's death record. aside from Grace being born in Scotland and Mary in Antrim form census records, and the info on Mary's marriage, I had nothing - I was even lucky that the death record for Grace senior contained her maiden name and that my GG'GF was the informant on the 2 death records, and lucky that the younger Grace was in her sisters in the 1901 census. Really I had nothing for them before the 1860's and Thomas was around 70 by then.

So are there any specific details on the places of birth on the census records that you have found?  Is this Ireland or Scotland?

My GG'GM Mary was born in Ireland in Antrim - different records suggest different ages so born between 1838 and 1841
her sister Grace was born in Scotland (that's all it says on the Irish census) and depending on the census or death record her year of birth is 1824 - 1831

I have no indication of place of birth for my GGG grandparents Thomas and Grace

Margaret's baptism record gives no indication of Thomas's occupation.  However, the couple lived at Pettens just inland of the dunes near Menie.

If these 2 cannot be found in the censuses they may have died before 1841. The old parish records are available to search on scotlandspeople.

I can only find two kids in the IGI

I don't think this is the correct couple. The son Kenneth had a middle name recorded in his baptism Mcculloch (same as his Mother's maiden name). It's not Mcclure.
