Looking for importer

Hi , Its been a few years since I last posted and am hoping  you can help.
  I am looking for the name of a mandolin importer who live (rented) at 5, Montague Road , Richmond ,Surrey around 1890-1923 area.
 Any help welcome.

William James Clifford ESSEX - music publisher and dealer in banjo, mandolin and guitar (also teacher and performer) from 1911 at that address
Richardson, Sherman, Gillam, Hitchcock, Neighbour, Groom, Walton, Strange, Littleford, Brown, Guy, Abbs, Tasker, Bartlett, Farey, Etteridge

Census information is Crown Copyright from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

In 1901 (assuming houses not renumbered) - JEFFREYS family, head is a heating and ventilating engineer.

Hi Mirl,
Wonderful That's the gentleman .
My grandfather lived at 5, Montague road, he purchased a rare bass mandolin from this tenant. Latter in the 1930's he gave this mamadlin to my father, who had just joined Trois and his mandoliers. I can provide a photo if you want.

That's OK Reg, I was just narrowing the time frame in case you were trying to construct a full history for Mr Essex :)
