Hi,

Helen Young Dempster died in 1919, father's name recorded as George Paterson.

Checking the Valuation Rolls for 1915 (available to view on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk) doesn't show any Dempsters living at Castle Terrace Street, St Clement's Ward Aberdeen in 1915.

From JJ's link to libinx, the 1920 Valuation Rolls show a Miss Dempster living at 27 Skene Row Aberdeen (where the death of Helen Young Dempster looks to have taken place in 1919). There are a number of other tenants showing at that address, owner a William Paterson.

From the same site mentioned by JJ, there is this possible entry for sister Christina http://libindx.moray.gov.uk/people/people_details_mainframe.asp?REF_ID=NM260365

Some possible details on daughter Christina b. 1917.

Did she have the middle name of Gault? There is two possible marriage for her in 1940 & 1950 and a death in 2007 in Helenburgh (mother's maiden name of Dempster). Both these marriage regs can be viewed online as images on SP.

Is this who you are connected to?

Monica

Edit: Just one marriage in 1940 not also 1950. Groom's surname has three forms leading to 3 separate index entries for this marriage.

You will find that the births have been registered in both places, Aberdeen and Marnoch, Banff. Normal practice where the birth took place not at the usual residence and was then registered twice. There is also a further birth for this set in 1919 in Marnoch, Banff for an Eveline Dempster.

There is a death showing on the SP index which may be hers.

Eveline Dempster, aged 1 died in Aberdeen City in 1920.
