The size of its database.Also the fact you can download raw data and put it ftdna, my heritage and gedmatch.com. Also i've got familytreemaker 2017 and got my tree linked to it and also linked my dna to that tree as well as other family members who have tested. Also find ancestry kits tend to arrive within about 5 days but i ordered 2 from ftdna, higher level tests on the day before black friday and still waiting for them.

Gibby - I know you didn't want any more answers but there are two other things i would consider.

Firstly, My Heritage uses imputing.  I'm not sure whether this has a noticeable effect on matching or not.  There's an article about it here. https://dna-explained.com/2017/09/05/concepts-imputation/

Secondly, most companies do not keep your sample.  I know for a fact that FamilyTreeDNA does for 25 years.

I will say that people who transfer from MyHeritage to FamilyTreeDNA get many more matches than people who transfer from Ancestry to FtDNA.

also if you are taking a sub out, my heritage give you smart matches, i.e. records based on the info which you put in although you do get occasional wrong one whereas ancestry gives you a chance to browse through.

Hello. Had my DNA Profile done by MyHeritage with some very surprising results. Took quite some time though as they had to send it off to Texas USA.

I ordered my kit two weeks before Christmas and it arrived two days after Christmas.

Sent it back on 2 January and got my results on 7 February.

My Heritage keep you in the loop every step of the way and email you when your results are ready.

I am 64.4% English, 22% Irish, Scottish and Welsh and 13.6% Scandinavian.

I knew there would be some Irish there as my 2x and 3x great grandparents are Irish.  I am hoping to find out more about the Scottish, Welsh and Scandinavian bits of my DNA.

The process two about a month.

If you ignore any hints on My Heritage they stay ignored unlike ancestry.

I have not had a problem with this at all.

Hello. Got my results back with some very these facts first. I was born in Greenore county louth Ireland. My mother and Father were both born in the republic (Dundalk and Clare? so i would have thought/expected 100% Irish results from the DNA, but no my results were as follows, 97.9% Irish, Scottish and Welsh. 1.2% North African and wait for it 0.9% Nigerian, now where have these results come from?
