Have a look at the 1861 census for a Sarah Richards in the household of Richard Newby I think it might be Sarah under the wrong surname

I think that one is the daughter of William RICHARDS and Sarah NEWBY. Brother Isaac is on the 1851 with the parents and a 20 yr old Richard NEWBY in West Brom.

Hi kdcen, sorry I meant 1861 Census she may be just under initials (I have added and edit to my post)

And yes I had the 1871 Census where Henry/Sarah are married.

I looked at the West Bromwich workhouse census and the only Sarah in there of the right age is a Sarah Jones

I still can't find the CROWTHERs in 1861 and I have a feeling that Sarah might be with them. (no reason-just one of those "feelings" ). :)
