mary ann playl
« on: Saturday 11 November 17 20:07 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,
I am trying to find a birth record for Mary Ann Playl who was born c 1854 in Islington, i have searched the GRO and freeBmd and can find no record although it seems her siblings do appear.
Her father was Bransum Playl and i beleive her mother was Elizabeth Hearn.
She appears in the 1861 census and is later shown as marrying Robert Lane.
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Regards John.

It was not compulsory for parents to register a birth until 1875.

Many thanks for that information,
just seems a little strange that they registered their other children.
