Any clues from this WWI pic?

I am wondering what can be discovered about this picture? Is it Canadian? I believe it is WWI Signallers but I just guessing.

Yes, German telephone unit. Handsets and wire.

For a short period those "pork pie " hats were worn by British troops.
I know nothing about the telephone.

Yes, the Broderick cap I think. If you are still in any doubt Google Adolf Hitler WWI Images.
