Date Please: Florence Young nee Markcrow or Violet Owens nee Young - Australia

Seeking help in the dating of this photo.  My Dad said it was his mother Violet Young who was born in 1887 and married in 1908, it's possible that the photo was taken for her husband during WW1. 

The other alternative is that it is Violet's mother Florence who was born in 1861, she lived in Sydney Australia from mid 1880's prior to that she was in Queensland from 1864. 

I just had a look at the original photo it was taken by Tesla Studios, Q.V. Markets, George St. Sydney

By the clothes it looks to be either side of 1910 so it looks like it's Violet Young, your Dad's Mum.
If it was Violet's mother, she would be around 50 in the photograph, which she certainly isn't.

I would say it was Edwardian and she is showing off her ring, so Violet for me. Very elegant lady and a lovely photo.
