Help to find a grave Whitby
« on: Friday 03 November 17 20:44 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone

Is it possible to access grave records in Whitby online please ? I am trying to find the graves of my gt grandfather, Robert Dixon, died 1934 and his wife, my gt grandmother, Margaret Dixon, died 1958.
Thanks

Did they both actually live in Whitby?  Their deaths were registered there but the Whitby RD covered many areas

There are 2 Margaret Dixon deaths in 1958 Whitby - is yours the one born 1870 died March qtr?

Hi Carole
Yes my Margaret was born in 1870. Thank you so much for the information about Robert. My dad always thought they'd been buried in Ugthorpe so that fits. I'll let him know. Thank you again 😀

Can’t find anything for Margaret but burial transcriptions for that period are sparse

Thanks for looking Carole. There probably isn't a headstone for them but if we can find where they're buried we can rectify that 😁
