The family of these that I am helping  say that Dennis middle name was Hare but looks like it was really Harry 

As mentioned - there are 2 births in 1926 - only one has a middle name of Harry

I am guessing that you are making some assumptions here as the info you are giving appears to be based solely on what you have found on freebmd rather than actual fact.   

What is this persons connection to the person you are helping? 

Do you know for certain that he had 2 brothers whose names you mention above or are you basing that on a freebmd search of Parsons/Waller births?

The son born in 1931 may be still alive so you need to remove his details from your reply

If that is the case it may not be the correct family, as that is not Dennis H.

The man I am helping was told he is the son of   Dennis Harry Parsons 
The man's mother was married to someone else but had a affair in 1951 while he was in chatham dockyard on board he ship HMS Glasgow
The man just needs to know if he's died and also he's true family tree as he's not sure of that side of he's family and would love to know . He has no wish to find anyone just the knowledge of him .

Unfortunately, without more concrete information it could be either of the ones found here - or any one of many others.

Do you have any definite proof that he was born in Hampshire in 1926 or is that guesswork?

If he was definitely Dennis Harry, it might be worth sending for that death certificate that Carole gave. The GRO are issuing them on line rather than paper for £6 instead of the usual £9.50.

I think you need to be very careful as I don’t think the Dennis Parsons with mother Waller is Dennis Harry Parsons. So you could well be following the wrong family.

I have looked at both Dennis Parsons one with the H  and one without. He was told that he came from Portsmouth but that's the problem it doesn't match up . The man is 65 now and he was told when he was in he's 20s so sad that he's life is mixed up and the dad who he thought was he's wasn't.  It's kind of mixed with he's head so was trying to give him some peace of mind he knows there is very little chance but I said I would try . It's very sad really.

He was on the HMS Glasgow in 1951 in chatham dockyard.

The "He came from Portsmouth" could well relate to this i.e. the ship was based in Portsmouth rather Dennis actually came from there. It really depends how truthful he was, doesn't it? By 1926, when he said he was born, initials of middle names were given on the GRO birth register, and the only one with an H is the one born Bournemouth 1926 and died 1988.

Chatham dockyard is in Kent - not Portsmouth so he could have been born anywhere.  As Groom says - it depends how truthful he was about his details.    How has a birth year of 1926 been arrived at?
