I have seen the warlinks link before and from that (before I knew what RHU meant) had assumed that he had gone with the regiment all the way to Germany before the end of the war. He must have been sent back to the hospital for whatever reason and then put in the discharge route. Incidentally he was discharged as B1 so probably got an accelerated discharge as he was'nt fit for occupation duties.But as you say supposition.
