Hi
What isn't immediately clear is that Church is Frances's maiden name.
She's unmarried.
Children
Irene Frances born in the Workhouse 12.4.1892
Lucy Anne 8.8.1895.
Irene gives her father as Albert church on her marriage when she married at Islington in 1916 to Walter Edward Ginn but I think that was just because she was embarrased in front of the Vicar.
There's a Fanny Church baptised at Ardington Berks 3.4.1870 d of William and Mary who may be her.
There are school records for the girls and Workhouse records in London on Ancestry and no mention of Dad.
Sorry I was typing while myluck was posting she may well be right for the mother, she has a sister Lucy Ann Church and the family are living in Reading 1881,parents George and Charlotte Ellen Church nee Leavey baker

1911 Census - Frances signs as Frances Filer Church. There is a baptism 31 January 1869 - York Town, Surrey - parents George and Charlotte Ellen.
GRO Index gives mmn for Frances Filer as Leavey - March quarter 1869.
FreeBMD - December 1852, Newbury District - George Church and Charlotte Ellen Leavey appear on the same page.
Did they all migrate to Australia?
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids. They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

You've beat me to it. Trying to put all the new data with other information from family and write an informative reply. Will answer all individual messages and thank each one for their greatly appreciated time and help. I know that "rootschat" is by far the best genealogy website online and definitely the most helpful that I've ever come across to date. Regards Mozzie

Very glad that we were of use to you.
Possibly not the happiest of starts for Lucy and her sister, but hopefully it all got better for them.
