I found it so interesting and thought it might be of interest to scholars of history in general and, maybe, anyone who was researching the STANHOPE name in particular.

I tried to open this link but its no longer active.  I recently found out Lady Hester Stanhope is one of my ascendants.  I've joined this site today to see if there's any information, in whatever form it may be - perhaps even some relatives? on this forum but don't really know where to start!  I will have to navigate it for a while I think.
