William Lee and Hannah Hogan
« on: Tuesday 12 September 17 16:40 BST (UK) »
William Lee married Hannah Hogan on the 21 April 1867 at Christ Church Rotherithe Surrey. His father was Joseph Lee and her father was James Hogan. William's occupation is given as twine spinner just like his father's occupation.

My dilemma is did Hannah die in 1870? and did William re marry?

Any help in untangling would be appreciated.

Hi,

What evidence do you have to suspect that Hannah died in 1870 and William remarried?

Have you found William on any census that gives his date and place of birth?

Hello,

Do you mean this death:

Hannah Lee 19 yrs 1869 Rotherhithe

On her marriage she gives her age as 'full'.

Thanks for all of you that have had a go. My dilemma is that the census finds states that William was born in Barking Essex, in fact the one I'm pursuing  was born on the 17th October 1843 at Bethnal Green to Sarah Ann Beecliff and Joseph Lee, which is why I hesitate regarding adding a new wife . Is the BARKING ESSEX family the right one?
