Fantastic, thank you! Are you able to tell me if he had any siblings?

Hi ,

Scotlandspeople has a marriage John O'Hear / Mary Hampsley 1876 , Airdrie or New Monkland Lanark.
That certificate should give you the parents names.

From the 1851 Census transcription on FreeCEN it looks like Sarah's maiden surname was Dermott , possibly McDermott -
1851 Census Slamannan Stirlingshire
James O'Here 22 railway labourer born Ireland
Sarah O'Here 24 wife b. Ireland
James O'Here 2 son b. Monkland Lanarkshire
Elizabeth Dermott 21 unmarried sislaw b. Ireland

Looking for information on the following O'Hare family who lived at Nimmo Row during 1901:
Children of john O'Hare and Mary Hamsley
James b: 1879
John b:1884
Thomas b: 1888
Andrew b:1893
Charles b:1895
Believe there was also a sister
Margaret b:1879

Threads merged , moved to Lanarkshire.

By 'information' what do you mean, and what have you managed to find out for yourself?

Are those actual years of birth, or just taken from the census?  Have you used Scotlandspeople to research them?

Have you looked to see if anyone else is researching this family by looking in 'Surname Interests' in 'Your Tools', below?

The only Andrew O'Hare (1892/1894) that scotlandspeople show is Andrew Sheridan O'Hare born 1892 in Milton.

If this is 'your' Andrew, then you have his birth year wrong, and he has a middle name that will help in identification.

Worth paying the money to check out the birth?

Have you found the family in 1891 and 1881?

Always feels strange when a thread is 'merged' mid-post.

If one of the children is your direct ancestor, presumably you have information on them?

Edit: You moved it again?

Hydes,
It is easier to refer to what has already been found so that people do not duplicate research.
