Does anyone know the name of a soldier who fought and was injured in the Boer War. He returned to his parents who (I think) ran a shop in Inkpen and died of his injuries.

A long shot answer but here goes...
A burial.... in loving memory of Pte George May 2nd Wilts reg.
                Died 6th May 1901 aged 32 years. He had served in the South African War since its commencement and died 7 weeks after returning home.
  " Lord all pitying Jesu blest Grant him thine eternal rest".

On the 1901 census his father is John a carrier in Inkpen.
