William & Carlena Kinscher - Berlin, Germany

Hi everyone,

I am desperately searching for information on my great x3 grandfather and grandmother.

William Kinscher
B. Germany (maybe Berlin?)
D. Unknown probably Germany
m. Carlena (maybe Caroline)
B. 1843 Germany

They had 2 children that i know of:
Minna Kinscher
B. 13 Aug 1876 Berlin, Germany
D. U.S.A or Canada

Martha Kinscher
B. 1880 Berlin, Germany
D. U.S.A? (New York?)

I found information that says Carlena and her 2 daughters immigrated to New York, USA in 1888 from Germany. For some reason William didn't come with them.

In 1899 Minna married John John. Raymond in Auburn, Cayuga, NY.

In 1910 Martha married John Detrio on Dec. 3 in Onondaga County, NY.

On the marriage licences Carlena is listed as Caroline Smith.. but in the arrival to USA censuses she's listed as Carlena Kinscher..

Wondering is she remarried to a SURNAME of Smith and called herself caroline?

They all disappear after the marriages of the daughters.. I've tried to look everywhere.. wondering what happened to this family and would like to find info on William and Carlena and where they came from and their ancestors.

It's more likely that Carlena's maiden name was 'Smith' (Schmidt).

Added- 1910 census shows Martha Detrio so perhaps you have marriage date wrong?
