Understanding valuation rolls in Dailly

Help required in understanding valuation rolls in Dailly. I have been looking at the valuation rolls for some of my ancestors and in the first column there is a schedule no then underneath it what I assume is a house or building number. I have tried to locate it on an old map without much success. Does anyone know if the valuation rolls were recorded in the same manner as the census records from east to west of the parish? I have been looking at the 1895-96 record page 36 schedule no 270, tenant James Baillie.

Is it possible for you to post an image of the place name please as the VRs cost credits to check?

1st column - No. - The 'Roll No.' just as it states (similar to a schedule no.)
2nd column - Description - House/Shop/Laundry etc. (what the building is)
3rd column - No. - House/Shop no. (address)
4th column - Situation - Street name

i.e. 3rd & 4th column will give you the address you need.

Hi Annie, on the 1895 valuation roll I have been looking at the
1st column is Roll No and house No
2nd column is description and situation of subject ( house and garden )
3rd column is proprietor
4th column is tenant
So unfortunately no street name, that is why I was wondering if the valuation rolls were recorded the same way as the census records as I could then try and work out the location in relation to a church or hotel etc.
