There is a Robert GIBSON Nov 1846 formerly of Sproatley but late of Selly in Holderness Testament (ie Will) £200. Vol 215 f. 1181

I can see no GIBSON probate records for any GIBSONs of Easington in Holdernes.

Hi a bit late checking my messages, but thanks indeed for the updates.  They are a difficult family to follow.

I thought I’d look at trees on Ancestry on the off chance of finding a right tree. No tree for Jane that I could find. Lots for Ann but most with the wrong Ann.
Two trees had marriages for Ann but they were before 1804.

Bellman July 2017 tree by BellmanR -
tree has Ann’s death 6 Dec 1872 in Cady, St Croix Wisconsin. No husband.
This tree has Ann’s sister Diana married 1817 in Beverly to George CAVIL (1789 to 1869). About eight children.
Dinah died 6 Dec 1872 in Lawrence, Brown, Wisconsin, USA buried Cady cemetery. Yes same date of death. Was the same death accidentally given to both women?
George CAVIL died 26 May 1869 Metis Beach, Quebec, Canada

Brown Family Tree by Anna-Marie HEYWOOD -
tree has her sister Dinah 1789 to 1872 gets married to a George Cavil and dies 6 Dec 1872 in Lawrence, Brown, Wisconsin, Dinah had a daughter called Angelie CAVIL  born 1820. And an illegitimate Thomas GIBSON born 1809 in Garton YKS died 1879 in Withernwick YKS.. No birth death or marriage details fro George CAVIL
Tree has Ann’s birth 14 January 1781 in Easington and no other detail for Ann.

I thought I had something there - Ann emigrating with her sister but I guess it was just a mistake by putting in the death for Diana accidentally also in for Ann.
Several other trees have copied this mistake. I suppose it would not hurt to check it out just in case the two sisters did actually die on the same day due to some accident or other reason.

Hi Spelk

thank you for taking the time to check some trees.  I have come across the Cavil or Caville family as having emigrated, infact I have others from that part of Yorkshire that have ended up in USA!

I did try checking marriages downwards after the birth of Jane Gibson (illeg) and checking the census but again I couldnt find an Ann ? born in Easington say on 1851 census.  Jane Gibson lived around Sculcoates marrying there and then at Newport and later Howden area.

I will try to see I can check the trees out regarding your theories.
