Have you ask any of the local papers to put a article in for you asking for information, I don't know if his records come under the burnt records.  Did he get a Pension.  When he died he would be a civilian.

I have since found out that he is buried in family plot in church burial grounds, details in church burial book, have also been in touch with his family.
So thanks for your help.
