Henry Smith
« on: Monday 07 August 17 21:21 BST (UK) »
Henry Smith was my Great, Great grand father, he lost his life at sea , Eastern Inlet, Tasmania on the 12th June 1847 on a ketch 'Fanny'. We are unable to find his birth certificate or when he came to  Tasmania. Don't think that he was a convict as we can find no record of that. any help will be very much appreciated. Noeline.

There were several Henry Smith's who were convicts.   From NSW archives there are these possibilities

adding : I think this link is better for those convicts who were sent to Tasmania - and free settlers in Tasmania.

Henry Smith was my Great, Great grand father, he lost his life at sea , Eastern Inlet, Tasmania on the 12th June 1847 on a ketch 'Fanny'.

It was 1884.

It might help to know that Henry was originally a Tailor, married and lived at Stanley, and was born around 1818.
