Came across this from 1851 census. It was a household of 28 Irish people in Birmingham. Head of household was a labourer like his 27 fellow residents. His occupation though has an addition. Written in brackets after labourer were the words "Low Lodging House or Piggery". A comment by the census-taker perhaps? Or a reflection from a young Irishman on the circumstances in which he found himself.
Not entertaining, rather disturbing.
