Kelly Family from Kings County

I'm having a bit of trouble chasing any information up on this topic.  Mary Kelly and her brother Patrick Kelly were the son and daughter of William Kelly and Bridget Tennery(?).  Patrick's death certificate states that he was from Kings County Ireland.  Mary emigrated to Australia and married a James Kelly who came out to Australia in 1857.  James had a brother William who also emigrated to Australia in 1858.  Her brother Patrick was on the same ship as William.  In 1876 Patrick and William had a fight and Patrick was killed.  William faced a murder charge which was downgraded to manslaughter but he died in prison not long after from consumption.  As you see there's a mix of Kellys here.  Can anyone help please?

Could you add any dates of birth & death?

So far it looks like-

William Kelly m. Bridget
1. Mary Kelly, to Australia, m. James Kelly (to Australia 1857)- he had brother William Kelly (killed 1876 by Mary's brother, Patrick Kelly)
2. Patrick Kelly, from King's Co., Ireland

All the above would have been born before the start of civil registration of births so you'd need to check for church records. Many Catholic parish registers are now online (free) but they are browsable by parish and not all parishes have records far enough back.

Thanks you for your reply aghadowey.  I do not have exact dates of birth.  I think James Kelly may have been born around 1837 with Mary born around 1836.  James died 22 November 1909 in Bathurst New South Wales and Mary died on 27th March 1903 in Parramatta New South Wales in a hospital for the insane.  0n her brother Patrick's death certificate it states that he was born in Kings County.

Have you tried to get copies of Mary's records? Not sure what details would have been recorded then kept, etc. but I got records for a relative in an asylum in U.S. that contained not just his own medical history but mentioned his parents, grandparents and other relatives.

No, i have only her death certificate which doesn't tell me anything - parents:  unknown.  I got more info from her brother's death certificate which gave the names of the parents as William Kelly and Bridget Tennery.
